Living Wisdom: HUMBLE YOURSELF BEFORE GOD

Taken from Guidebook to Living

I will submit myself to God and resist the devil,
and he will flee from me. 
I will humble myself before the Lord,
and He will exalt me. 
(James 4:7, 10)

I will humble myself under the mighty hand of God,
 that He may exalt me in due time,
casting all my anxiety upon Him,
because He cares for me. 
(1 Peter 5:6-7)

Lord,

I submit all that I know of myself to all that I know of You.  As I do so, I can stand firm against the schemes of the enemy.  I know that humility comes before honor and that You will exalt those who have been faithful to You in due time.  Therefore, I humble myself under Your mighty hand and cast all my anxiety upon You.
